The Resurrection Of Jesus Hope Of Eternal Life

The Easter, i.e., the "passage from slavery to the freedom"or "passage from death to life" has been and will be, as far as the length of time, the center of life Christian. This Passover, sealed with the blood of Christ and which has as its purpose the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus ChristThis is a unique and unrepeatable event, full of originality and an extraordinary fact. This resurrection of Jesus is a shout of exuberant victory over death and over the power of the sinChrist is so great that death could not contain Him! For the believers of Christ with this fact confirm that they will live with Him for eternity, He is the Lord and savior.

The Resurrection Of Jesus Hope Of Eternal Life 1

Thank you to the resurrection of Jesus are affirmed great truths. Here are 6 of them:

Jesus Is God

The resurrection of Jesus Christ affirms what He Himself proclaimed, that He was the Son of God and was also one with God. Father. Many eyewitnesses confirm this fact (1 Corinthians 15:3-8), which confers a reliable and irrefutable proof that He is the Savior of the world.

On different occasions Jesus spoke in such a way that he seemed to be equal with God. As a consequence he was accused mainly by the Pharisees and then nailed to the cross (Matthew 26:63-66).

On another occasion Jesus spoke about his sheep (his children), how he gives them eternal life and that no one can take it away from them. He also affirmed that He was One together with the Father God and the following happened:

"I and the Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you of my Father; for which of them do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy: for thou, being a man, makest thyself God" (John 10:30-33).

The resurrection of Jesus is possible only through divine intervention. We know that God can do impossible things, which for us mere mortals are impossible and Jesus, being one with God, had the power to raise the dead.

At no other time in history has any other human being managed to resurrect himself.

Finally, the resurrection was the "sign from heaven" that gave authenticity to Jesus' ministry (Matthew 16:1-4).

2. God Has Power Over Death

The people of Israel witnessed great miracles and wonders performed by Jesus, many more than they could see and imagine. During Jesus' ministry, he healed all kinds of sick, blind, lame, deaf, dumb, among others. He also freed demoniacs and revived some of the dead and multiplied food, surprising everyone with such a great miracle. But nothing greater and superior than the miracle of his own resurrection.

...He was delivered up according to the purpose and foreknowledge of God... Nevertheless God raised him up, delivering him from the anguish of death, because it was impossible for death to keep him under its dominion (Acts 2:22-24).

Death is the enemy of mankind and the just punishment for the sins of each one of us (Rom. 6:23).

Christ rose from the dead because death could not hold him. No one need fear the punishment that comes after death:

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:55-57).

By Jesus' resurrection from the grave, God reminds us of His absolute sovereignty over life and death. To believe in the resurrection is to believe in God. Only He, who created life, can resurrect after death.

3. We Have The Hope Of Forgiveness

The resurrection of Christ was not simply a proof that He was one with God. But it also guarantees, to those who place their faith in Him, the sorry from their sins and eternal life. If there were no savior to overcome sin, we would not be able to have a relationship with God as He wants us to have. At the moment Jesus died on the cross, He took upon Himself the punishment of all so that we could be forgiven before the Father.

We can rest assured that we are no longer forever slaves to sin, since Jesus' resurrection overcame the power of the shadows over humanity. We are free in ChristThanks to Him we have hope for forgiveness of sins and thus attain eternal life.

4. We Will Live With Jesus For Eternity

"The fact is that Christ has been raised from the dead, as the firstfruits of those who have died. For since by one man came death, by one man also comes the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will live again" (1 Corinthians 15:20-22).

Christians have great hope because their sins have been erased and justified before God. From being God's enemies to being His children, forgiven by Him with an eternal inheritance that nothing and no one can take away.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, and that shall not fade away, reserved in heaven for you...." 1 Peter 1:3-4.

Jesus Will Return

"After his death he appeared to them in person, giving them clear proof that he was alive. For forty days he let himself be seen by them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God" (Acts 1:3).

"When they had said this, while they were looking at him, Jesus was taken up, and a cloud enveloped him, and they saw him no more" (Acts 1:9).

"For the Son of Man is coming with the glory of His Father and with His angels, and then He will reward each one according to what he has done" (Matthew 16:27).

Christ is coming in the clouds! All will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the world will mourn for him. Yes, amen (Apocalypse 1:7).

Do not despise the beautiful and precious gift that Christ the Lord offers you: "Jesus answered him, 'I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?'" (John 11:25-26).

6. The Gospel Is True

Paul expresses that the resurrection is the glue that binds and holds together every part of the gospel. Without it, faith of Christians was in vain and without hope. But fortunately Christ was resurrected to give hope for the forgiveness of sins. To be well before God, and to obtain eternal life.

"...and if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith also is vain...and if Christ be not risen, your faith is false; you are yet in your sins. Then also those who have fallen asleep (died) in Christ are lost. If we have hoped in Christ for this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied", 1 Corinthians 15:14, 17-19.
